I am half Scottish and half Cherokee which makes me pink. I lived in Qingdao but visited all major Chinese cities. I could fly in and tell my taxi driver Maidao Lu and Haikou Lu. It was about 50/50 if they could understand me. In my country, calling some one boss (lauban) was a sign of respect but when I tried it in China, they told me not to do it because the lauban has to pay the bills.
