I’ve been a machinist for 25 years now, and yes the crap imported to America is of horrible quality. However that’s because China sends the rejected goods at lower cost. The parts that pass quality are branded and sold at higher prices. Some Chinese goods are very high quality ( IPhone, pretty much every computer and TV, and much more). But you pay for it. Having lower labor cost did not lower the price of the product, it just increased corporate profits and that led to higher “donations” AKA bribes to politicians. Basically our government sold America down the river years ago by building modern factories in foreign countries instead of here at home. We are just now seeing the results, Americans can’t even change their tires any longer.

I really like what you said, as it's so true, but the last two sentences really nailed it. You know we have the most advanced form of government on this planet. Proof is most countries had civil wars to copy our form of government, but 90% of the American population has no clue on how our government works or even the purpose of it. This is why our country is on a down turn, even the people who run for office are clueless on the workings of government.

Don't like the cheap stuff from China? Start making better, market it. Oh yea and sell it for the same price.
