Thanks so much. I'd forgotten the enjoyment of the process.

Red Dragon Diaries Glad you’ve got your sea legs back. You were my main inspiration to start a channel of my own three years ago. I’m now up to almost 5,000 subs and really having fun. Give it a peek sometime. 🙂

I get such a nostalgic feeling when I hear and see scales being removed from a fish. I remember being about 4 yrs old watching my dad clean fish. Simpler times 😊 But my gosh, that lobster dish looks amazing.

I felt sorry for the lobster until I saw the finished product haha. It looked amazing!

It was a bit harsh, even for me to watch. Maybe because I was right there. But I have to come to grips with the fact that our neatly packaged and presented things we buy often go through processes like these.

@@Reddragondiaries not in the UK or EU. They are boiled and die instantly. I don't know about the US. But I was horrified when in ROK supermarket they cut the legs off live crabs and then bagged them still alive. All EU have strict regulations that all live produce should die instantly and as painlessly as possible.

Awfully disturbing death not helped much by the awfully disturbing death that a lobster can subject a snail to. I get the distinct impression that something is not quite right about life in general.

feel the same way! at least kill that poor thing first before cutting it up! although nothing beats the taste of fresh meat, the way it was prepared is utterly horrifying.

@@TK-if3ks Agreed. This is the first time I've actually been bothered by food prep.

@@TK-if3ks they probably believe the lobster doesn't feel pain. It died pretty quickly. Nobody is going to sit around and wait for the lobster to freeze in restaurant setting, nowhere in the world. And it lived maybe 1 or 2 seconds longer than sticking a knife into its head.

Bruh, if I can ask you one thing, please refrain from eating animals/fish that had to be butchered right in front of you. The way that inhumane mofo cut up the lobster & fish is absolute disgust. Learn to develop some sympathy for the poor creatures. I am not asking you to become a vegetarian. We all gotta eat what we gotta eat. But witnessing the life of a creature taken away in such a brutal manner and enjoying what came out of it is NOT quite the same as buying frozen lobster or packaged fish from the supermarket. There is a different feel to it if you know what I mean. I would really appreciate it if you can stop uploading videos like this anymore so that some of the viewers won't be so disturbed. BTW I am a subscriber to your channel and I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Just wanted to give you my honest opinion on this particular video.
@chrisdonovan87954 жыл бұрын
I'm a long time subscriber too. I disagree with some of your comment. If you're going to eat an animal, then you SHOULD know how it is killed, and be prepared to kill it yourself if necessary; anything else is a delusion. If you can't stomach the killing of an animal, you shouldn't eat it at all. However, I can't imagine why, when given a choice, someone wouldn't want to kill an animal in the quickest way. The Chinese generally seem to have zero compassion when it comes to animals. I wonder how their compassion fares where people's lives are concerned?
@infected894 жыл бұрын
We kill animals to eat them, get over it. The way an animal dies in nature is often more cruel than the ways we use to kill them. If you're too squeamish to watch the animal be killed, then go sit at your table and let the cook do it for you behind closed doors, it's all the same.
@InthenameofYeshua4 жыл бұрын
I was looking at how cruel he cut that lobster alive from the tail, and the skinned that fish alive, I lost my appetite. I'm a fisherman and I'm horrified
@madisilver4604 жыл бұрын
You want to know what's really cruel? Everyday citizens-everyday human beings being treated as poorly as you think the food was, by those whom took an oath to protect and serve. That is real inhumane treatment!

6:13 $96 for 2 main seafood dishes for one person? No thank you. Looks appetizing and getting live food chopped up adds the novelty factor but the cost is prohibitive for the average tourist or I suppose any plebe in China as well. Maybe not for those employed in the finance sector .
