This movie will never be surpassed, it's my fav Venoms Mob movie and the greatest ninja movie of all time; I've watched it start to finish at least 50 times over the years and it never gets old!

That was absolutely good fight scenes are out of this world cool everything was choreography the sequel the sequence and everything the director knows what he is doing when it comes to martial arts especially Shaw Brothers.

@Craftmatic01 : Big Trouble in Little China is a good example of what I mean. Raiden's lightning effects look better than any other version I've seen because while the special effects back then were low grade compared to today, it still looks better than any MK version today because of the quality of the footage. Black Mask should have been shot in the same way. But just about every Jet Li movie is good because he himself is a awesome fighter.

@Craftmatic01 : i agree, what you mentioned and the sequence where they are rotating around each other at 2:11 are my favorite parts of this fight.

@Craftmatic01 : yes sir! I definitely agree. I don't know how I could have forgotten, but some other modern day kung fu movies that I liked are Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Fearless, IP Man, and The Last Samurai. Yeah, the Last Sam. really isn't a kung fu movie per se but damnit it had one of the most kick ass ninja scenes ever!!! lmao.
@GameraDragon13 жыл бұрын
@Craftmatic01 : thanks a ton for that info! I'll have to look into it to see exactly how much it cost, because if I could get that done I'd have a lot more martial arts films to upload!
@GameraDragon13 жыл бұрын
@Craftmatic01 : yes sir! and it's gotta have the sound effects whenever a punch or kick is thrown too! I'd see a movie like that 100 times! for me, the last couple of good martial arts films were Crouching Tiger and Fearless. neither were quite like the old movies but they were the closest things we can get in today's age. I also love Jackie Chan movies for the same reason. great choreography and very little CGI and Hollywood shenanigans.
@GameraDragon13 жыл бұрын
@Craftmatic01 : yes sir! that was also a good movie! with Hollywood remaking so many old movies, maybe someone in one of their studios will get the idea to start remaking kung fu movies, lol.

This should be in the movie theaters for one time event only I'm quite sure that they would draw college crowds and and the newer generations now anybody else here thinks that this should be in the theaters for everybody to see.
@GameraDragon13 жыл бұрын
@Craftmatic01 : oh yeah, I definitely know what you mean regarding the Last Samurai. I just threw that in there as a technicality because it's for sure not a Kung Fu movie. I just wanted to cut out that one ninja scene, lmao. I'll have to check out the other movies that you mentioned (Heart Under Blade) because I haven't seen them yet.
@Craftmatic01 : Black Mask was alright. I liked the fighting in it, but I thought they should have used a different camera to shoot it. Because of some of the stunts, the clarity of the camera actually back fired and make it look so real that it looked a little fake. They should have dumbed down the camera quality for lack of a better term... so that it would have looked better.

@GameraDragon I just saw this movie for the first time recently. It was awesome, I love how they quartered the earth ninja.

@Craftmatic01 : no clue really. I guess I'd have to do some research because it'd all depend on what folks are willing to pay for them I guess. but I do know that if I can afford it I'll covert some more movies and upload them here. In a perfect life though I'd win the lottery and start making "real" Kung Fu movies like back in the day. Today folks get movies like Ninja Assassins which was alright but doesn't hold a candle to the older stuff I.M.O.
@GameraDragon13 жыл бұрын
@Craftmatic01 : yeah, no arguments from me there. hopefully it's something that will change in the future. right now Hollywood is redoing tons of stuff from the 80's (along with every comic book hero) like Conan, Total Recall, etc. etc. so I'm hoping that when they run out of that sort of material to re-copy they will look towards some of the kung fu movies, lol. I got my fingers crossed anyway.

@Craftmatic01 : thanks man. I have tons of Kung Fu flicks on VHS and Betamax from back in the day. I wish I knew how to convert them or even find a old video store that sells the movies in DVD format. All I used to watch as a kid was Black Belt Theater, etc. etc. Today's kids get...... Power Rangers : (

Ha ha I know I’m way late, but for the longest I have been downloading all my old Shaw brothers flicks off of iTunes….surprisingly it has a very large selection of old kung fu classics and for cheap!

@eagleclaw006 : awe man, I first saw this maybe two decades ago, my dad had this on VHS and I'd watch this and Big Trouble in Little China just about every weekend along with any other Martial Arts movie I could catch. Black Belt Theater was my show back then. But yeah, this is by far my favorite karate flick along with Big Trouble in Little China. The Gold, Wood, and Earth ninjas are my favorite. The Gold Ninjas are my favorite, followed by Earth and Wood. That Wood Ninja did get it the worse!!
