If there is a war between India & China and Aircraft Carriers get involved from both sides,INS VIKRANT will launch aircrafts with limited payloads but for Chinese Supercarrier Fujian,EMALS may not work properly which in turn will not allow them to launch any aircrafts & India will sink their Supercarrier. EMALS system is new, and for nuclear powered ships, its easier to use EMALS. for carrier to launch planes by EMALS, it would require big quantity of capacitors, Capacitors can charge and discharge big amount of electricity, they cannot store energy. This will be difficult for conventional powered carriers as they do not have unlimited power, also to generate the energy required for the capacitors, it would be best with nuclear powered. Further another bank of these capacitors can be used for laser weapons and EM rail gun which can be used for CIWS..
