I have watched all your videos about Bali and Semarang, because I come from Semarang but now I have lived in Perth, Australia for quite a long time, so I miss the city of Semarang and Bali with its thousands of unique tourist attractions.❤

Wow. You are very lucky to have come from such a beautiful place like Semarang. It’s a nice city and it deserves to be on the world stage a whole lot more 🙏🏽☺️

Haha, it’s like when we were in Taipei and wanted to go to our favorite coffee shop. It opens at 10:00am!!!!! Wtheck?! 😂

Maybe we are just caffeine addicts in the West needing that fix straight away! 😂 Indonesians are big coffee drinkers. But I don’t sense their rush to drink it soo early

In Indonesia, when we wake up, we think working, working, working. 😂 In my village people go to market to trade at 4 or even 3 AM. 🤣

☺️Indonesian people are really hard workers. It is a fantastic ability to be that focused so early in the morning 👏🏼 I can’t operate without a coffee ☕️😂

There definitely are coffee places that open early in Semarang. Not the large chains as they follow normal opening hours, but the small, independent ones. I was recently in Semarang and my favorite place was a hole-in-the-wall café that opens at 7 AM. It’s located in the vicinity of Diponegoro University where the coffee shops’ main target market are sleep-deprived college students. The drawback here is that most of these tiny places are smoker friendly (an Indonesian-specific plague) which really takes away the enjoyment of serious coffee lovers.

Thanks for the update ☺️It must have just been my luck that morning. Or maybe there was a coffee store open and I was in just too much of a zombie state to see it 😂 I managed to get a great coffee on Braga Walk in Bandung later that day. Indonesian coffee is really good ✌️

@@hussmeister no, I understand where you’re coming from. Most of us Indonesians have our morning coffee at home, so you really need to go to areas where they target college students or office workers if you want to get your caffeine fix at a proper café in the morning. This is something that a visitor wouldn’t be privy to, so it’s a good observation from you about the cultural difference. Hope you’re enjoying your time in Bandung; it doesn’t have a proper, centrally-located Old Town like Semarang but there’s plenty of colonial buildings all over the city.

Hey mate im from Bandung, recommendation from me you go to these places : - Kawah Putih (south of Bandung) - Kampung Cai Ranca Upas (south of Bandung) it like deer preservation - Lembang Floating Market (north of Bandung) - Lembang Park and Zoo (north of Bandung) - Asstro Highlands (even north from Bandung almost outside Bandung) - Orchid Forest Cikole (right near Asstro) City Center destination : - Braga Street and Asia Afrika Street (also visit the museum, i think its free) - Sudirman Street Foodcourt and Cibadak Street (best at night) - Kiara Artha Park (best at night but daylight also nice) - Gedung Sate and Gasibu Park nearby - Museum Geologi (near Gasibu)

Semarang and Surakarta place where segregation almost vanished probably due to javanese nature, most javanese are muslim but not too fanatic so mixed marriage or even conversion its not a big thing in central java
