Been in china for nearly ten years. Had a lot of fun connecting with the TKRefugees the last few days. It reminds me of the promise of what social media was always supposed to be - true, authentic, genuine connections. Curiosity, openness, direct peer-to-peer communication. Very little of the peacocking, narcissism or other negative aspects of TikTok/Insta etc. Obviously nothing is perfect but RED is also regarded as one of the most civilized & educated social media platforms in China for a good reason.
