Im just in amazement of the scope of the Steppes... its nothing but mountains and deserts far as the eye can see. Feels like something out of a fantasy universe or another planet. No wonder the Mongols were unstoppable: they came from such an inhospitable part of the world.

@@projectorion8186 from what I've read, the number of Manchus who know their language is staggeringly low. Most of the Manchus now speak Chinese as their mother language. Manchus are now a minority in their ancestral land, don't have independence and are assimilated to the Chinese.
