It's crazy that high schools now have 4 good tenors like this in a drumline. My high school drumline had only 3 or 4 snares and 1 or 2 crappy tenor players. How times have changed ever since that Nick Canon movie in 2002

Chino hills is built different. They can probably complete in non schoolastic world class and still be actually competitve

Dude west coast bands are elite but out east its pretty much the same as you say, im in a larger group with about 80 people and we have one decent tenor player and one decent snare and a massive pit because its hard to get kids to actually commit to being good players

Our drum tech stole this exact double beat/round 2 exercise and it’s what we play now, can’t complain cause it’s 🔥🔥🔥

One of the outside quads (next to the camera) is using a lot more arm in the right hand than the rest of the quads, all of the others match their stick heights very well but that one quad messes it up, but VERY good everywhere else. Attacks and definitions between timing and the met are needed, but overall very good *edit: corrected which hand it was

Wayyyy better than my high school who only had one snare, one tenor and 2 to 4 bass drummers that didn't know how to play split parts and didn't always come to school. And I come from a high school where A LOT of people don't know what a Drum Corps is and never heard of DCI. And these kids have skills. But, the drummers in my band didn't even know how to hold the sticks right.

Chino hills is a completely different breed. You can't find many school geoups that hold a candle to this school
