I recommend using 100% Synthetic oil. It doesn't build carbon so there is no penalty for using 40 to 1 ratio. The #1 reason a Rotax 582's fails is from a bearing failure. Next a cold seizure. In the past you used as little oil as needed. Mineral oil stuck your rings & built carbon. Synthetic doesn't . One last thing, Do not use "NON" Ethanol gas other than 100 LL AvGas. Rotax Rick
