Ok so the thing about BF is that he won’t actually humiliate or put down any of his opponents rather he just has fun making deals with devils and watching them all lose in their bet. I like that he didn’t too to be completely honest with you, but this in my opinion is one of the best animated things for Friday Night Funkin I’ve ever seen and is a straight 10/10 along with what the Neo mod had to offer as well

The very definition of just giving the fans what they want. The sync was immaculate. The plot was well paced and completely organic to what we already know about everyone. During the first round (Before Boyfriend's first solid hit) I noticed that, if you look closely, Matt does smile specifically during some of the Echo attacks, mostly when he's put on defensive (i noticed it most present during his Parry chains around 1:40.) But like you said, he begins to be default to a cheerful smile during the last round; i like how those little touches really add to their character.

I love how even with Matt winning it shows how dangerous BF can be. Matt only really did damage when he had the element of surprise but if it didn't take BF out in one hit. BF was about to counter and stop it from hitting again. BF resets are powerful but the last fight also shows he doesn't depend on them.

Love the direction this story took. They lead you to believe there are stakes, only to reveal there were never stakes to begin with. It results in a huge payoff to the escalation of power at the very end. I’ve only seen the Tricky mod and Week 7 accomplish this payoff perfectly. It makes me wish that Matt was Canon. Also, having the trainer become the student in the most ironic way, and the way the sword fighting is choreographed with the lights in the background showing the colors of the aura. I just want to gush how brilliant this is. It’s been a lot of fun Chino. I don’t expect you to top this series for awhile.

There’s something I just noticed, and I think it’s really cool. The background keeps changing depending on who’s attacking at the moment. Like the window outside the gym and the lights around the swordfight arena. That’s awesome! Edit: Also, BF’s expression while swordfighting changes depending on whether Matt is pushing him back while attacking. Gotta love those little details! 👍
