Chip and Stormzy were cool and he even gave Stormzy and early co-sign. Chip was in a song called Waze where he dissed "the king of grime" not taking a shot at Stormzy but an up and comer claiming the title. Stormzy though it was a subliminal and fired mildly in "I don't Know" the Tion song you reacted to. Stormzy started getting wild in dms and eventually pulled up at Chips house while he wasn't there. Cops got called but Stormzy left before they arrived and nothing came from that. Later Chip snapped and released this and "Killer MC". after that it's been mostly subliminals from Stormzy while Chip released multiple diss tracks after every sub. nobody wants to clash with Chip; his pen is sharp.

Stormzy only ever replied with subs. This started from a track called Waze with Chip, Skepta and Young Adz, Chip made a comment about a rapper who refers to themself as the king - apparently not Stormzy - Stormz heard this and felt a way, he responded with a subtle line on the track I Dunno. Stormzy and Chip were friends before (they have a track called Hear Dis, which is a bop btw) and the story goes Chip gave Stormzy his address and they were supposed to link up and squash it. Stormzy turned up with a bunch of goons but Chip wasn’t in at the time (There’s video footage from Chip’s manager to confirm this). Chip then dropped Flowers and doubled down with Killa MC I’m pretty sure on the same day. Stormzy replied a couple weeks later on a feature on Ghetts’ track, Skengman Mode. Chip responded within 24 hrs with The 10 Commandments. Stormzy then made another couple shots on Clash with Dave, Dave also arguably took a couple shots too. Chip once again replied within a few hours with “Clash?” Months passed and Stormzy never made a full diss. He then released Mel Made Me Do It and on the track he basically said he’d never properly address the beef. But I can’t be denied that throughout that song there’s only one guy he’s talking about🤷🏾‍♂️ Hope this helps🙏🏾

There's an obvious reason this track is called 'Flowers'! Millionaire gangster (how dumb and how long can that go on?) arrives at Chip's home and thus began the revelation of what a fake king he is!
