Little Chuckie may be messy. But with her facial deformity, we are lucky she is here at all. She is precious.

It's a rough world out there for a chipmunk. ChooChoo has nursed Chucky to good health at least on two occasions with a special diet and supplements. And not to mention a safe place to gather and eat food. The mouth injury was probably from a fight with another chipmunk or a predator. She's had an eye infection too. All healed with help from ChooChoo. Chucky would not have lived this long without such thoughtful care.

Her Mommy and Daddy took such good care of her when she got injured that she healed and is a healthy, happy little chipmunk. We adore our sweet Chucky!!!

@@pohanahawaii Chucky's right cheek was torn open, and that is how it healed. I think it took about a year for it to heal, which also included an eye infection on the same side. She can only fill her left cheek fully. Food will often fall out through the tear in her right cheek. 😢 I'll repeat it, without the shelter, food, supplements, and medication administered by ChooChoo, Chucky would not have lived to such an old age (for a wild chipmunk).
