Nice editing man! From what was shown when you added it to blockstrings (0:44), it felt like the startup was a bit slow and people would counter hit you before the shuriken would come out. How does this tech fare in real matches when you put it in your blockstrings?

absolutely, but that's the thing. Chipp's advantage on knockdown is so OP that if you press a button that isn't a reversal you always get hit by his meaty buttons. So its always best to wake up and block against him unless you're reading a command grab or tick throw. Once you've conditioned your opponent to respect you then you begin to mix them with another layer of tools, in this case approaching with TK Shuriken. Also if you space TK shuriken properly on wake up, all DP's in the game miss. Good luck! Edit: regarding the specific blockstring you mentioned; Chipp would usually go for 5k,2k,2D into rekka because its a true blockstring (2k into 2D being a TRUE frametrap). SO the mix there is to condition your opponent to block rekka. This way you can start to throw TK 2147P right after 2D instead of going for the usual 236S immediately after. They have time to react but if they're not looking for it they'll either block it, which leaves chipp plus for his IAD HS or S, or they get hit trying to press a button too late, at which point you can frame trap them with a 2S into 2HS.
