I grew up watching this as a small boy and at the time I wanted to move to America from the UK as the sun was always shining in almost every show! Apparently most of the filming was done on brand new freeways not yet open to the public, the cars you see in the show are stock, if you watch closely you'll see the same cars and vans used over and over! Love this show, and yes I still want to visit the USA! ❤

Where does he live then? The video said NYC. You say Idaho, but on a comment two weeks ago said Virginia. He was on a TV show three years ago about a Reunion 80's Vehicle Race. KITT, the A-Team Van, and the CHiPs motorcycle. They had to go out and find the van and motorcycle. Erik indicated there was only one motorcycle he used, and he would be able to tell if it was original by a hidden feature only he knew about. They did find the original motorcycle and the van. There was not problem with KITT as there were a lot of them used.

I must say that I have been a fan of chips for many many years. To me it was one of the most greatest law-enforcement shows ever to be put on TV. It's really hard to say which one of the characters will my favorite because that really all good. The only one whose name really is not worthy of mention is Bruce Jenner. What a wasted life. I never really knew that Clarence Gilyard the Third was in chips because alright love him in Walker

Estrada lives in Idaho and is a Police officer.. Reserves. He said the CHIPS show went through a lot of the Kawasaki motorcycles during filming all them years. He has one from the show to this day inside his house in a room.

Michael Dorn also played Commander Worf on Star Trek The Next Generation and Deep Space 9. I met him in the mid 90s when he came through my work. He was volunteering his time as a pilot to fly doctors around to help kids with cancer. He was a nice guy. We talked air planes. He didn’t want to talk Star Trek too much. Also met Larry Wilcox when I was a kid. He was filming a western in the Columbia, CA state park.
