Our roster this morning started with 3 consecutive male patients. The first two were both wearing non holiday associated orange shirts. And both were working on sacral chakra orientated pain that manifested physically as a sacral adjustment
Sacral chakra color integration is also orange… they were wearing their medicine
The third male patient was unconsciously celebrating his chiropractic anniversary. He came in one year ago on this EXACT date. And in previous years he has consistently been visiting in September/ October/ November.
I asked him if he underwent any trauma this time of year in his childhood. He told me that when he was a child he was sent to the shelter this time of year. He didn’t have anyone
He reiterated he doesn’t consider it traumatic. It was just a big change
Then I remembered having this exact conversation last year… so I made a note in his file… and then I’ll be reminded what we’re actually treating in October 2023
Our next patient was this fascinating older German woman and I got to practice my 10 German words
"Lie on your stomach, breathe, relax, lie on your back, breathe, gentle, soft, very good, sit up, thank you and you’re welcome"
Then I saw an old student from Penn State. He loved me as a professor, but loves me even more as his chiro
There were 2 sisters from India, we discussed meanings of names, the Vedas, and artificial intelligence
Then there was the acupuncturist and her husband who drive up from Maryland every few months. It’s always interesting to see other practitioners who have a grasp on the psycho-social-subconscious- spiritual aspects of pain… and pain relief
Now, the most rare event of today was the always epic and encouraging EAGLE spotting

But i would not have seen them if it weren’t for you my friends
Bc often on Wednesday nights I am still editing as the day turns and the morning light approaches. And last night went late. So late that I slept through my alarm. Then my oldest offspring missed the bus. Which was the reason we were on that road to see the eagles, so that I could tell you now

I absolutely LOVE when he does the full spinal decompression. It always shows how in tune with our bodies we are, and how many emotions we keep in. Its pretty crazy to see him do the full spinal adjustment(the ol Ringdinger) and watch then either suddenly start crying and balling their eyes out, or laughing uncontrollably, etc. Its pretty crazy how something like that can open up those emotions you keep bottled up and its like when he loosens you up physically, your emotions do the same. Suddenly all those emotions you suppressed come out of no where.

People don't realize that we hold stress in, boils down to every moment you've pushed your stress and frustration aside and it builds up. It can cause headaches, anxiety, depression and insomnia as well as so much more. It's not just bones getting cracked, it's literally everything mental that built up in a physical form that gets released and sometimes it's way more overwhelming than you thought. I've had this done a couple times by different doc and everytime it's emotional. Eating healthy, doing exercises, staying active and getting adjusted from time to time benefits so much.

You can tie a boat to a tree Had back pain resurface associated with babying my recovering ACL & wanted to see a new physio that wouldn't just put me on a table, rub it out and send me off without any education or exercises like I've had in the past. Explaining as such, they tested my terrible cervical retraction strength & proceeded to get in there and released a clammed up vertebrae right up at the bottom of my skull, giving me movement there for the first time in almost a decade. Guess what, I teared up! Thats the story! For me it was unthinkable I had anything that DIDNT move having a hyper flexible body that I stretch out every day. Anyway, this was after seeing 5 different physios so its not magic and some supplemental research to help them understand your situation is key (no one set aside time for an introduction interview quite like 47). A lot of you sound like my folks who enjoy bragging about the pain they live with, it couldn't hurt to embrace this fairy tale and see for yourself
