Chirping GHD Straighteners CPU Swap Repair | No fix

This pair of MK5 GHDs are bleeping repeatedly. Both elements are heating up, so I suspect it is a faulty CPU. I will swap out the processor for a new one bought from GHD-repair.

Hi phill check resistors R8 or R11 (values marked on resistors). also check The thermistor the 2 wires in between the heat plate connections at the front it should go up in resistance as it heats. also some times the beeps can mean the iron is too cold leave it on for a while and see if they stop. feel free to msg me in JDT discord.

You are right on the ball with the R8 resistor. I've just swapped it and it is working fine. I have recorded a small update to this video.

This is my second pair I have fixed. At least they're easy to take apart and find spares for.
