2 years of armaments and I've pulled 0 legendary inscriptions, only one's I have are from autarch's and I just recently got 8 shards to get my first inscription from that shop. And I almost always have the daily armament bundle going, so I've spent some money. At this pace it will be years and years before I can even start working on echelon, it seems 99.9% of players would be making a huge mistake trying to work on echelon.

Combination of Philip buffs with Shajar mighty heals on openfield will blow absolutely all. Not only about Shajar's active skill but also 3rd and expertize. Remember that she also gives 10% defense and 20% normal damage to troops she healed with her 3rd skill. I'm very surprised you didn't test this pair.

If hes paired with a dps commander then he should be a secondary because that will give the dps commander a better chance of re activating.

@@mikewowzowkiei meant for the expertise. If Philip does his skill twice it messes up and makes the dps commander deal damage late. And a cooldown starts. But if a dps commander is primary them doing they’re skill twice is amazing then they can get a damag reduction from Philip etc

Hey, what do you think about this situation: In a KVK where you can choose a Relict to get all troup specific buffs for one troup type. Lets say we choose kav and philip is the second guy with the relict: You get: +10% damage reduction for 5 troups +20% bonus damage for 5 troups +35% HEALTH, DEFENSE, ATTACK and 20 march speed for kav!!!! + 30% bonus damage again because of 1 troup type 10% chance for 800 direct damage against 3 enemy troups 10% chance to reduce rage 150 for 3 enemy troups and the chances to use the skills again. I don't know if i forget about something, but this should easily be able to push for example william out of the meta for 2 kav marches! Of course only in some kvks. What do you think about that? You won't get +35% health def and atk. Artifact only converts single troops skills, and that is considered a multiple troop type buff. Indirectly they confirmed it recently in the patch notes talking about epic Joan

so armaments are the whole game now.. is there a video out about how to max armament gathering efficiency on a daily basis? ive been saving armament chests to open when I find a new commander with a different formation. is that a good move? I could use a comprehensive guide.

In January, there will be an update introducing a new KvK reward currency that will allow you to change the formation of an armament. The inscriptions also will change to the new formation, so you can use this feature to build armament sets for formations other than Wedge. Otherwise, just use the Armament Reveal Thyself event to build an armament set for formations other than Wedge - like Arch for infantry or V-formation for siege. I'd recommend to open all of your chests for Wedge formation and set your wishlist to Intrepid (emblem). Keep all special and rare inscriptions - they are high priority to reroll. Keep all legendary inscriptions that give Health, Defense, Attack, All Damage, or Skill Damage. Reroll those good legendary inscriptions until you get a high stat for infantry, archer, or cavalry that is >2.5% or All Damage >1.2%. When all of your marches are equipped with 4 armaments that have a good inscription and 1 high stat, then lock your high stats, and start gambling transmute stones on rerolls to get a second matching stat for that troop type. If you field 5 marches, you will want to collect 5 sets of inscribed armaments. Each set needs an inscribed Scroll, Instrument, Flag, and Emblem (20 inscriptions total). You'll want 4 Wedge formation sets and 1 Arch formation set. You can target arch legendary inscriptions through the Armament Reveal Thyself event. Scroll legendary inscriptions can be obtained from winning KvK - so opening and rerolling scroll inscriptions are lowest priority. Keep scrolls with >1.5% All Damage rolls. You can inscribe them later with a KvK inscription, lock the All Damage, and reroll the other stats.

@TheLarknessMonster the easiest cost efficient way to get leadership gear is the old way and that is infantry. That's how I got 4 proc gears chasing the canyon meta through Trajan. Philip is very versatile but I will now have my leadership gear procs actually in effect. Hell I had to use Honda to get something out of it but we all know people swarm a primary Honda

For the same reason he's bad with Joan. After each active skill you have a second of downtime before you can use another active skill, and at some point you get so backed up that your rage bar gets locked up by your queue of active skills.

@@zkx2417its not, the case with rally is a huge diff compared to field ... you dont want a buffer for a rally, you need extreme damage which is more viable since the damage scales with how much the troops there are while the buff is fixed it dont scale or anything, they also tested that in the field ashur/philip actually did bad than expected

Did you think about making a video about which commanders are top 2/3 options for each troop type @Chisgule? I already thought Philipp II. is good with Liu, but I wonder if he is even better with Ragnar P. Scipio seems to be okay, too. I sadly can't do that testing, since I'm really low spender. But since I'm very interested in ancient history I will expertise Philipp when finished with Liu. But I don't really know about cav or archers. Theoretically you could use any troop type. I read Shajar was a good pair, but I can't test that atm 🙈😅 But what about cav? Which commanders would make sense there? Because I'm most intrigued using him as mono inf/cav commander since that would reflect macedonian battle formations best

Widening the variaty in formations and gear is another nail into the coffin of RoK, its already difficult doing all for one or two formations, pushing more formations into the game is just totally off. Im only a minute in and this sucks on so many levels chisgule, most people have a hard enough time working on 2-3 sets of armaments. Adding more armaments and potentially forcing people to work on 5-7 different types will make it much harder to make any one type good unlike when wedge was the go to for everything. alll these changes to both EQ and armaments only benefit P2W. Once F2P starts to catch up on gear they implement iconic tiers on gear and now they are doing pretty much the same on armaments.

Here's the way I'd think about the armament situation... right now wedge is universally viable. As you get your wedge set in order, things like echelon/V, etc start to get very compelling as a next project. To your point, it will take F2P much longer

Secondary to LuChe: -40% chance to double cast LuChe's active (one of the best, if not THE best, active skill in the game) -combo attack improve philip's 4th skill - rage engine of LuChe makes it that, in a double cast skill cycle (aka 3 skill in a single cycle), philip's buff will still be on for Luche's active of the next cycle PS: Plz stop recommanding people to use him primary ... Leadership talent is only second to integration as the worst red talent tree in the game)
