I am Vietnam vet being 100% P+T due to having and been treated for prostate cancer. The radiation treatment caused the ED and a claim was satisfied and provided a 10% disability. Since the VA has agreed to this can I now be entitled to a SMC for this condition?

Question: How can you have Special Monthly Compensation for a creative organ and have ED to include hypogonadism and continue at 0%? I just don’t get that. Ideas? Help?

@@seralaltidor370 no honestly I told my doctor that because of my depression I was having trouble getting and staying in the mood and they gave me some pills..and BECAUSE I couldn't be in mood ..it to added to my depression and made it worse .....once I had the meds in hand then I applied for secondary.

Overcoming ED seems great and if you need to stay that way for a long time, study Mario Volpstein's stuff, you could get her very happy starting on the very first day.

I have a prostate injury but can get the VA to increase my %0 to %20 gross hematuria and Dysria paifull urination what can I do ?? They treatment me with Cipro for over 15 year off and on which cause torn pectoral muscles and alcand giving me prostate medication for over 18 years since 1999 antibiotic when I was hit in the lower testical growing area.

I just got %20 for chronic prostatitis it took 20 years which for some reason the VA urologist never diagnose me an di never really heard of until two year ago funny how they was treating with cipro antibiotics and prostate medication and every year I have of hospital visits gross hematuria but they never said well maybe it might an infamlation to the prostate that causing me to bleed. I had this pelvic pain syndrome and voding which they only care about tis frequency of urination during the day and at night

Thanks for the video. Viet Nam vet here. 10% service connected disability for back injury 20 years ago. Frequent blood in urine for many years since Viet Nam but tests showed no cancer. Minor indication of prostate cancer from biopsy 5 years ago; decided on frequent observation. Latest biopsy and CT scan indicates spread to two local lymph nodes. Waiting on test results to decide additional treatments. I have filed a claim. To kill the cancer cells I am on hormone therapy eliminating my testosterone and sex drive. Do I have an additional claim for ED related to the effects of these drugs?

@Ray Vick according to 38 CFR 4.115b service connection for ED with or without deformity or medications is rated as zero %. Removal of Gland is 20% and removal of more than 1/3 of the penis is 30%. So, if no partial or total penis amputation and receiving meds from the VA, claiming ED direct or secondary is not going to give you more benefits. The only benefit is if you are not service connected for anything, getting zero % for ED is going to qualify for free meds from the VA because it is service connected.

Very interesting, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! VA Dr. Gave me some sleeping pills that will.give me a long lasting election. Some times it will last 3 hour's. I told her, she said let me know if it causes you to stay hard more than 4 hour's. Duh! Like if the clinic is opened at 2 am. I thank God, I have never had election problems. But I trip out on knowing how some meds affect different people
