I'm learning ASSEMBLIES. I am aware there are a number of approaches. It would be nice to have a course on this, thx. Should cover pros/cons of each approach, and how to implement them in practice, including editing of parts. Related would be covering mates - not just how specific ones work, but principles/strategies for good/efficient mates. TIA.

Worm gears are just the same as other gears in terms of motion. If we forget about how they connect, at the end two shafts have to rotate at a given speed. We can do this using the gear mate. Based on the type and design of the worm gear you can set the gear ratio e.g. 1:15 or 1:30 etc. Note the ratio of the shafts in diameter will not be 1:15 so be sure to manually override the gear ratio, else by default it takes the ratio of the diameters of the two shafts.
