I am honestly glad that you are still able to find ways to keep the game fresh after 4k hours because I honestly struggle to do that only after a little less than 200 hours in this game

I know you mentioned not having this as an ‘official’ category, but I think it definitely could be. I love that you can just use the stat terminal to see the total ‘mission time’ rather than use a timer. I think manually adding a timer deters some people from submitting runs - especially console players since they don’t have access to SimpleMissionTimer. The upgrades also add a really unique aspect to this type of speedrun. I may have to play around with it and give it a try myself!

A different speedrun category (but also from a new save) could be what I'd name the Manual%. Fill all enemy entries in the manual from a fresh save as fast as possible.

So this is why you were playing haz 2 xd seen it on steam. I actually have been thinking about this idea for a long time. It is really interesting to see which upgrades players would go with. Though, the level requirements are quite limiting for this category. So maybe it would be a good idea to use a mod to remove it.

Almost 1000 hours in as well. I knew about bugs damaging doretta would slow her down. But the player proximity... let's say, wasn't so obvious xd Learned about it quite recently, too xd

I've never looked into DRG speedruns, but i agree, seedrolling is the worst. I do watch Minecraft speedruns, mainly Couriway's no reset challenge and ranked races. Because the random seed runners literally run 15+ instances for 8 hours, just resetting thousands of runs

1:51:59 on first effort but also completing every secondary. Gunks wasted like 8 minutes. Last aquark was hiding for 2 minutes pushing a 6 min run to an 8. The rest were just me not routing and not being in the speedrun mindset, along with tons of execution errors.

Ultrakill neither has you make a new save file for speedruns most of the time.

48:50 One bit of tec I have learned is to break the terrain with your pick as the drills cool down to get a bit more forward, in this biome you can get decently farther than waiting for drills to cool and doing nothing. I would not use your pick in magma core to dig farther when waiting for drills but that's self-explanitory.

I got a category for you: new save, finish tutorial, pick class etc... the speedrun starts and goes from entering first mission to getting first promotion.

I feel like this could be used on existing profiles (if it's limited to new ones I would be excluded as I'm not doing the shenanigans to keep my existing profile and run this on my ps5) Could be fun where everything (equipment wise) is fair game you just have to run every mission in order It would mean "seed farming" would be far more limited to those wanting to try to get the run off on the right foot but the moment you are in the third map you kinda just have to roll with the punches cause no one (statistically) is going to get amazing rng on every mission type And timing between missions would be awesome as then it means people can't just sit there and debate on which of the 3 egg missions they should do, they need to quickly figure out which is their best bet and go
