I know it’s only a game, but it’s crazy to think people really did this once by the thousands in battle. The aftermath must of been absolutely horrific. I can’t see how even as winners, you’d ever be the same again after seeing such a sight.

It was worse in real life because heavily armored knights often met their fate by a spear up the ass, due it being the only vulnerable part on their bodies. Also, if every warrior had armor like that, swords and spears would be almost useless. War hammers were good for rattling a man in a can to death by concussion and internal bleeding from organs rupturing. The real battles like this had tight formations, and having a good general meant your side was probably going to sustain very few casualties. It would be cool if there was a game that had rules to enforce a formation emphasizing on strategy and such, but that probably wouldn't be as fun, and more practically wouldn't sell as well. Actually, maybe there is a game like that and I just don't know about it.

and for a fun fact not every warrior had that much equipment, and fights were nowhere near what you're seeing, people were just hitting with no proper form since most of those who participated in battle didn't train much

Those people were desensitized. A lot of them turned into sociopaths and others were no longer quite human. But no they were definitely not the same. And that is saying something for a group of people who raped women and killed people for entertainment, just because they were bored. Keep in mind they also claimed to be holy warriors. Some were. Some were not

With for honour I loved beta timming attack guessing thinking. If you got the win u deserved. Then combos started once bought game and peeps chucking u of cliff. I used to love because you won buy swinging at right moment or defending. Mount and blade peeps get kill not buy defending at right time or striking but more I don't knoe annoys me. What's chivalry like. When u get the kill is it more because u swing and defend at right moment not doing some other shit like how for honour is. Hard to put in to words but used to love for honour going round in cicrles timing your attaack or defense at right moment was mind games lol. Example like so many games when your best not because there better but becaude they do some extra crap or have better cards. I don't mind loosing if they deserve.

"My disappointment is immeasurable" as a wise man once said. I mean this is a joke, this game looks more like a Chivalry+ than 2. Especially compared to the current competition wich is Mordhau. Chivalry 2 does not implement any new gamplay machanics(exept the crawling and the trumpet heal, which look like a joke and insignificant) compared to its predecessor or builds on gamplay machanics from its competition, it just adds new graphics which don't even look better than Mordhau's. I guess you could argue that a more simpler and back to the roots approach compared to Mordhau is better. But for me, as someone who played Chivalry 1, Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior, War of the Roses and Mordhau. Mordhau clearly went in the best direction and introduced amazing mechanics which felt, for me atleast, missing in the other games. I just find it sad to see that Chivalry 2 is not carrying the flame farther than Mordhau, like Mordhau did with Chivalry 1. I think its a missed opportunity and a forgettable addition to this niche. It looks more like a cash grab, especially when you take the Epic game store only release into account.
