I really like the spear, but if I use a third-person view, I always hit my allies even if I aim the crosshair correctly. Any tips? I always use the alt stab attack as it is really accessible in my thumb. I read somewhere that the stab is faster than the lmb.

Yea for sure. with other weapons its easy to get caught up with swinging wildly and pretty much knowing youll hit something. With spear (starting out at least) hyper focus on where that dot is and where you stab. Sounds obvious but let it be your main focus outside of footwork for a while, then you can layer things on it LIKE footwork.

theres benefits to 1st and 3rd with any weapon but theres negatives too. Just play which ever one feels best for you. i switch between them :D
