Yes, there's no video of her dancing classic roles so we can see if she deserves her notoriety. There's no denying that ballet history is European, largely French and Italian and most of the settings of traditional ballet are placed in Europe. There's more freedom in modern ballet but she refuses to separate the two.

Vos parents ont su vous faire découvrir un ballet. Si l.histoire des ballets était mis à la portée de tous bcp s y s'intéresseraient. Enfant, il y a eu une série tv tournée dans l opera garnier, nous rêvions toutes. De nombreux livres relayaient succinctement l histoire des ballets. C etait merveilleux. L interet vient de cette cassure, ou peu de parents font découvrir des choses non enseignées à l ecole (hélas).

Germany has been the champion of accepting African immigrants and treating them well. Staatsballett had historically employed non-white ballet dancers (I remember seeing a good number of Oriental and mixed race dancers in their ballet performances). Pity their reputation is destroyed like this.The race discussion needs to happen, but too often an institution's name is trashed because we only hear one story.
