You guys, things aren’t exactly great between Chloe and Maddie Ziegler, and people are blaming this on Dance Moms.
If there's one show that you should binge-watch if you want to learn to be mean, Dance Moms is the one. Literally, for years, Dance Moms has ranked high when it comes to the worst shows that ever aired on TV. And let me tell you, even the recent reunion was a straight-up emotional rollercoaster. It was all tears, handkerchiefs soaked in mascara-streaked agony, hugs that were more like desperate embraces, and more tears.

It’s kind of weird to paint the picture as Abby AND Maddie ruined her life. It was Abby’s words and Abby sabotaging her. Maddie was a child and Chloe herself has stated that it was Abby’s fault not Maddie. She even said Maddie is like a sister to her even though they don’t see each other as often.

THIS!! I’m glad they both understand that Abby manipulated things and tried to paint Chloe as jealous and mean, but they always were still friends. I feel like their moms unknowingly had a hand in them not being as close as they could’ve been, right along with Abby and production. The reason I say that is because they weren’t the closest on the show, and when an argument was really bad the girls feelings would often get hurt unintentionally, because of how heated they’d be and they wouldn’t think that what they said was bad in the moment. I’m glad the moms have shown their growth and they’re regrets about what happened in the past ❤

Can we all just take a moment to recognize how absolutely _beautiful_ these girls grew up to be. (Although admittedly, Jojo looks ridiculous.) Poor, poor Chloe. I always thought she had more talent than most of the other girls. The way she spun...it was magical. I always hurt for her. She seemed so sweet and vulnerable. It makes me angry that her mother didn't do a better job of protecting her. ETA: I _never_ said Jojo isn't beautiful, folks. She is. All of these -girls- _women_ are gorgeous. Unpopular opinion: I genuinely don’t think the pyramid ranking system was not all bad. If I was slacking or if my skills weren’t good enough, I would want to know. I would also want to know what I should be doing and how I should be doing something by seeing who’s doing it right. I like seeing who is where so that there’s room for improvement for everyone. Even the person at the top of the pyramid cause they have to fight to stay there. I feel like it encourages everyone to fight for the top spot.

I don’t want to say the show was scripted but the producers did a lot of dirty work to all the cast. With Abby, she was genuinely a great dance teacher, the show turn her into the monster we all love to hate now. Plus, I wouldn’t say Abby and Maddie, I would say Abby, Melissa, and producers. Melissa knew what she was doing, she was the ultimate dance mom, that wanted fame and money so badly she didn’t care what her kids went through. She took her from one monster to another (Sia). Until Maddie was old enough and mature enough to know what she wanted for herself.

Abby was very cruel. But think about this. In our everyday lives, we are ranked constantly. We are ranked in school, work, clubs, sports, and even in the entertainment industry and sports. There are top players in professional sports. There are top students in classes. There are valedictorians and class rankings. There are club presidents and head cheerleaders. At work, there are promotions doe some and not for others. I'm not condoning Abby’s cruelty at all. I'm just saying we are surrounded by rankings in our entire lives.
