The pellets dissolve in the feeder and add chlorine to the water stream of the house, not the well?
@CleanWaterStoreАй бұрын
That is correct. This type adds chlorine to the pipes after the pressure tank. For more information how it work please email our support team at support@cleanwaterstore.com

For standard fam avg, in the middle of the road reason for using it, how often would I plan to add chlorine tablets? Annually on avg? House of fam w/2.5 kids norm. Just want to know how often we'd be adding chlorine tablets.

Hello - it depends on what settings you would use, which varies based on how much chlorine you need to inject. Most folks use about 8 oz of pellets a month, if its set on one of the lower settings. For example say the water has a moderate high sulfur odor and 1 to 2 ppm of iron. You might use 5 to 6 lbs of years but it varies. www.cleanwaterstore.com/chlorine-pellets-granules/better-water-industries-sentry-chlorine-pellets-11-lbs-5-22-lb-bags.html Definitely using liquid bleach is lower cost than the pellets as they have gone up in price a lot over last 5 years... If you want more info please email our support team at support@cleanwaterstore.com. Thanks!

I'm gathering the necessary accessories (valves, PVC fittings, etc.) needed to properly install my recently purchased Chlorinator Model 400. What is the nomenclature of the metal track and straps used to anchor/mount your PVC pipes? Also do you have a recommended vendor/source I could purchase them from? Great video. Thanks for your time!

They're using Unistrut or Superstrut and the clamps made for them. The unistrut metal track comes in 10 ft lengths available at Home Depot or Lowes.

What does it look like when it needs more pellets? On mine, after a month, the pellets are gone but there is still lots of chlorine "sludge". If I dump that out, it seems I am throwing away a lot of chlorine.
@CleanWaterStore2 жыл бұрын
If you are still getting a chlorine residual keep using it until the sludge is gone is a good way to go usually.

Sir may I inquire what kind of system to be install if the raw water is high in salt content? Tnx
@CleanWaterStore5 жыл бұрын
Hello Edwin, For salt water you need to use reverse osmosis or distillation. If you can email us at support@cleanwaterstore.com with your water chemistry test and how many cubic meters of water you would need per hour, we can quote a reverse osmosis system for you. RO systems typically need good pre-treatment as well, depending on the water chemistry and pH.
@CleanWaterStore4 жыл бұрын
For high salt content, you would need to use a reverse osmosis system, or a distillation system.

Wait a minute. Where is the contact tank? Feeding chlorine in the pipes does not allow enough time for the chlorine to do its job.
@CleanWaterStore2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, definitely works far better with a contact tank. We strongly recommend a contact tank and a carbon filter after the Model 400. www.cleanwaterstore.com/chlorine-in-line-pellet-feeders/chlorine-pellet-feeders-contact-tank-carbon-filter.html. We are working on a new video that shows the contact tank as well, thanks for your input on that!
