I know this video is 8 years old but what is this 'heat' that everybody mentions when talking about chlorophyll? When I read heat I imagine a molecule vibrating.

Many thanks for your video with a really simple but very interesting experiment, that I will be able to do with my students at "Cool Science for kids". I particularly liked your explanation throught the drawing. Myself, working with kids from 5 to 11, I always try to explain with images. Many thanks !

UV also turns into a deep crimson when re emitted by chlorophyll. All you need is a uv flashlight. I'm going to try the contrast trick tonight.
