Zhang Chang Ning saved China in set 3 as she stabilized China's reception. People usually forgot that Zhang Chang Ning was the best hitter after Zhu Ting a couple years back due to injury. Zhut Ting, Li Ying Ying, and Zhang Chang Ning for China's offensive lineup is going to shock many other top teams in the world. （I'm sorry for saying Zhang was pregnant, it was just a rumour).

Y'all my heart is so full seeing Zhang CN make such a huge impact in the most exciting game of the VNL thus far. If only they put her on the right side as a passing opposite, China team would be so deadly and the other teams would feel so much pressure. Gong XY is just not as terminal/productive as the starting OPP and she is a blocking liability unfortunately (Zhang CN at 195 cm would solve this). I really hope we see Zhu T and Li YY as the OHs and Zhang CN as the OPP in Paris!

As a live audience, I congratulate China for the win (I’m a HK citizen) The last three sets were real closeeeeeee!!! Türkiye had put such a huge amount of pressure on the Chinese team. But the Chinese girls proved that they can win without Zhu Ting on court (and that’s what coach Cai Bin wants to prove I guess?) but I still hope that the Chinese Number 2 player can be on court tomorrow against Poland and of course, in the Paris Olympics! The only thing the Chinese coach proved was he had been wrong all this time for not letting Zhu and Zhang play more often. I watched Zhu play for Scandicci in Italy out of curiosity because I didn't know her and I can say she's better now than before. The only problem is that in Scandicci, the setter rarely sets the ball to Zhu but her defense was superb and her value can't go unnoticed that's why Santarelli picked her to join his team Conegliano next season... Zhu and Zhang both are superb in defense, they can dig a strong attack like it's too easy to do. That's what I love about them. @@frankyang7364

As an old fan of China from the Philippines! I can totally say that Zhang is a hidden treasure. Way back 2021, she destroyed the whole Brazilian squad with th e help of Liu Xiaotong and Yao Di. well Zhang CN really proved that she deserves a roster spot in the Olympics. Hope Cai Bin can see that. Really hope Cai Bin lets both ZCN and Zhu play a match together when they face easier teams so Li YY can rest. She is our main weapon for the Olympics. Both Zhu and Zhang used to be the two main OH of China anyway. Ps. If there are any Türkiye fans here who see comments sending hate to Vargas or team Türkiye, just know that it is not coming from Chinese fans but Brazilian fans who are happy that they are ranked #1. @@daylight-bn9fe yes I totally agree! Li YY is OH1 for sure!!! I meant that during some of the matches in the VNL Cai bin should let both Zhang and Zhu play a match to let Li rest. I don’t want a repeat of Zhu back in the days when LP would overuse her. Zhang going to OP would be amazing and fans have been saying this since times of LP but if she didn’t do it, I highly doubt Cai Bin would. I do have to say that Zhang’s serve can be unreliable at times but she’s better at spiking than Gong. And even so, China has no good backup Opposite so having Zhang as a backup would be nice. But Cai Bin has to act and let her play that position first

Get over it the rankings are based on points not on subjective opinion and every sport has similar world rankings. It is based on RECENT performance not on how many cups you won 30 years ago. And no we didn't just win the VNL last year we also won the European Championships which is much harder than the VNL because Serbia, Italy and the USA always play with their B squad in the VNL (unless it is an Olympics year). Serbia and Italy play with their full roster in the Euros and we defeated both, along with Poland.
