I love Carrionvoy for 2 reasons: one, as it charges and moves towards you, the background and foreground have the shadows/silhouettes of the other parts of the train moving. Two: because it’s quietly implied that you have been fighting across Carrionvoy’s back throughout the level

The train is obviously based upon a real old 1960s-1980s soviet-era train, though it's hard to say which type exactly, since they look similiar during their technological evolution and the game mixes facts with fiction anyway. "ER9 electric trainset" , VL8, etc., there are dozens of variants and types ...

Amazing game, not a word and was more interesting than movies, congratz to the developers and you for being able to beat it like this. Hard to call it a good ending...but could have gone worse. Really thought the devs decided to screw everything by making the ship break in the moonplosion. The last achievement title is super correct, didn't expect the Metroid twist, gal is good for surviving that long alone.

And by the way over my last comment, I have to say that this game has better characters than Contra has done over the decades because this is refreshing to see different types of bosses and monsters that are completely integrated with trains and everything else that makes it more affordable, but also scary to play. I like games that change the type of bosses that you play from one level to the next to improve on the bosses to make it harder for you to play. Regardless, if the boss is a different looking creature, that makes the creature more intriguing to play over and over againversus the random stuff you used to play in contra over the years. Just food for thought and not to make fun of the game, just really appreciate the fact that someone else invented this and it seems really fresh to me and I like it.❤

There is only one game design that I have a truly love-hate relationship with.. and that is the design similar to that of The Iron Meat - the last boss. Not the gore, but the skeleton design facing the camera with the uncanny motion. I have always "hated" this ever since the Contra 3 skeleton boss. It made me piss myself then and it still gives me an unpleasant feeling today. It's just so damn cool.. but at the same time terrifying.

5:37 it's really subtle but if you look very closely you can see there's a splice here EDIT: Okay this was meant to be a funny joke but actually though, at 9:18 if you frame-by-frame (use the , and . keys) you can see at one point you actually touch the missile going along the ground but you don't take any damage. How were you able to do this without a god mode/ignore hits hack?

Technically. But he is more a vassal for The Meat than its master. The Iron Meat is the true “master”, the the “brain” behind the Meat’s takeover. When the Iron Meat is defeated, it stops controlling or commanding the Meat, leaving it brainless, though still a threat, hence why the ending is the Meat being cleared out. The scientist or Xenobiologist (whichever you prefer), is more of a general for the Meat; a powerful member that commands and masterminds, but still answers to a higher power( The Iron Meat)
