I was someone who hated makeup because I felt I did not understand it. I tried to learn it with beauty tutorials but they seemed too heavy, or the routines were too complicated for my taste.But Violette you have changed my whole outlook on makeup. You really treat it like art and are so relaxed about how you put it on your face, rather than stress on putting this and that to make it 'perfect'. Lol me neither! I haven't put on a full layer of foundation in months. If you expertly cover with concealer ONLY where necessary you will create the illusion that you're not wearing anything at all. And I finally feel like my skin can breathe through my makeup, it's so liberating. Big props to Violette for showing women that it is acheivable.

Athena P. I love how French she is and how she integrates it into her beauty/style! I feel like everyone and all makeup products are so cakey and unnatural? It’s hard to find products that make me look fresh and chic. Sometimes I feel the less I put on my face the better I look 😂The Kardashian look isn’t sophisticated which is why I try to avoid that type of makeup.

Could you do a video about your favorite concealers? I'm working towards just using concealer instead of foundation, but I'm finding it difficult to find one that blends seamlessly and looks natural. Also, how do you keep your concealer from creasing without using a setting powder? Love your videos! 😘

I actually don't apply a lot, just the bare minimum to cover up some of the dark circles that I've been genetically blessed with. Most days I just wear foundation, concentrating most of it under my eyes and then blending out. But anything that goes under my eyes or on my lids creases instantly if I don't set it with a powder.

So I just started doing the same thing. From your thumbnail you seem to be about the same color as me (bobbi brown 5 in summer, armani silk 6 in winter) and I use Becca aqua luminous concealer in beige (Violette used the same concealer in a video once as well). It is flawless. I use my fingers but using a beauty blender makes it even better. I never use a setting powder, I just dont go as close to my under eye and it looks fine and doesnt crease. Hope this helps

Thanks! I'll have to give Becca a try. I remember trying out NARS and liking it, but I want to stick to cruelty free brands. :) That's interesting that the Too Faced and Maybelline creased on you, they seem to be so popular with a lot of people. I guess the formulas work differently depending on skin types? The lazy side of me just wants someone to tell me which one will work for me. Lol. I really appreciate the suggestions, I'll keep testing different concealers out and hopefully one will work!

Hey, you should try mac mineralize concealer. I use nc20 and it really blends like a second skin. It is not full coverage, which I like because it looks very, very natural. After I found violette I barely wear foundation myself. Hope it helps you😘

I recently picked up a Sephora brand concealer and I love it! It has a great colour selection is easily blended and a lil goes a long way! Oh and it has a your skin but better finish
