This is so cool, Dina! I'm definitely going to make one. I would probably either cut the fun foam for the smaller squares to 3/4", or stack up layers of brown cardstock, just to make the sides of the squares look more solid, & lend added "realism" to the appearance. I think, if you stacked cardstock layers, you could lightly sand the edges to make it look less layered, if that makes sense. So many ideas! I have 3/4" & 1" square punches, so I think I'm all set.
