I have watched multiple videos on dipped pretzels and hands down, yours is the best. Not only do I like how you have less pretzel at the bottom, but the extra step of trimming the excess chocolate with the knife makes yours so much prettier. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial!

Thank you so much!! You can use a little vegetable oil as a substitute to thin out the candy melts. I find that thinning it out is necessary with Wilton and other store bought brands. I’m sure your treats will be a hit for the shower!!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! ☺️ It depends on what treats you’re making, but I normally get about a dozen dipped strawberries to each bag of candy melts. You’d probably get more than a dozen pretzels per bag. Good luck with your treats for your daughter’s wedding! Congratulations!

I'm, 12 and I'll be making these for Fourth of July just a little tip for people who don't have parchment paper because I used my parchment paper will making them macaroons for fourth of July a nonstick pan with a little bit of butter or oil works just fine.

I agree! I just use a champagne glass and dip my pretzels in it then shake off the access. Then I put it on parchment and if there’s too much extra chocolate I just move the rod to another spot to dry and the excess is left in the parchment.

Magda Ortiz I just add more warm chocolate in it and stir it and it keeps the bottom melted. Or you can dump it back in the double boiler and spoon it back into the champagne glass.

Awesome tutorial!!! My 11 yo daughter wants to make these. Two questions, How do you keep the chocolate from hardening while you’re working? It looks like the spooning took a long time. My chocolate would have been hard by then. Do you have a method for not having flat backs?

Once you've coated, instead of placing them directly onto paper, try raising them slightly, on a couple of cocktail sticks maybe. Just a thought to save time. Thanks anyway Dementia.

I've done it pretzels a couple of times now, gave the first ones away, but this second batch was an order (for 6 @ $3 ea.) 1st batch I didn't/wasn't able to do drizzle, this batch I did, I bought some candy melt piping bags and did some drizzles over them and then did white sanding sugar on them, they're regular chocolate flavored candy melts, mixed with almond bark and some coconut oil ... 😊😊😊😊😊 I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO PROUD of myself for doing something out of my comfort zone and I DID IT!!!! 😊😊😊😊 Thanks for your video!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I asked my local chocolatier in my town that very question! She said that you should NEVER harden your chocolate in the fridge. It creates the cloudy film color on the chocolate as it hardens that way. Room temp only!

Every video I’ve seen the video starts with the chocolate already melted. We clearly know we need to dip the pretzels in the chocolate to make the snacks. But what kind of chocolate do we need? What brand? How much? Etc..
