Ganesh festival is round the corner. So making modak is a must. But these modak have a twist. We are making chocolate modak with stuffing. This is a very easy and simple recipe. You can make these modak in advance and gift them to your relatives too.
Recipe for Modak
Ingredients:
Dry coconut:.1/2 cup
Rose syrup: 1-2 tbsp
Condensed milk: 2 tbsp
Dry rose petals: 1/2 tsp
Chopped pistachio: 1/2 tsp
Melted white chocolate: 3/4 cup
Melted pink chocolate: 1-2 tbsp
Pink color: pinch
Chocolate truffle: 1/4 cup
Golden dust(optional)
Modak mould
Method:
1. Take a pan roast dry coconut and then add rose syrup,rose petals,pistachio and condensed milk and mix it well and keep aside.
2. Now take a modak mould and dust it with golden dust.
3. Now take a pink color chocolate in pipping bag and drizzle it in half of the modak mould.
4. Now take a white chocolate and add in modak mould and then remove excess chocolate from the mould & put it in freeze for 4-5 minutes to set down.
5. Now add coconut mixture in half of modak mould and press it gentally.
6. Now add truffle in half of modak mould.
7. Now add white chocolate to cover the mould and put it in freeze to set down for 5-10 minutes.
8. Unmould it and serve it as prasad to Ganpati Bappa.
Notes/Tips:
You can take any flavour for filling.
You can take dark or milk chocolate also.
