I also add a pinch of salt to anything with cocoa. It helps prevent bitterness.

I am so glad I found you. I too am a grandma although I lost my husband several years ago so I only cook for myself and my little dog! I do try to eat low carb. Many of your recipes look delicious I plan to try them. Thank you.

Would it be to bold to ask if at the end Roy could give the carb count. Some he does and it is so helpful. I am so excited I found ya"ll on you tube. I have been telling friends and family and anyone who will listen about it. Thank ya'll

I use a different sweetener and I can't have the cornstarch so I use tapioca starch. This is so delicious. When I tried "diet" chocolate pudding it didn't even taste like food. Who knows what that stuff is actually made from. But although this is different from my mama's pies, I love it and I'm proud to serve it to family and friends. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Love the idea of having a meringue topping!! 🥰Carolyn Ketchum (All Day I Dream About Food) uses 1/4 tsp glucomannan or xanthan gum to 1 whole egg & 2 yolks & 2 cups of liquid. Although I've not tried her recipe yet.

Absolutely love your channel! I discovered it in the last couple of months and have so far made the chocolate pie, pizza casserole and Mexican casserole. Love them all and the lower carb approach! Keep it up!❤

arrowroot flour thickens, too, and has a little less carbs than corn starch.

I have ordered xanthum gum but haven’t experimented with it yet. Haven’t used arrowroot yet🌹

We ate it in 2 days. Our son, Michael, said it tasted just like chocolate pudding I used to make them growing up. Without all the sugar. Yummilicious

What brand of stevia are you using? Different brands sweeten differently.

I have tried it, but to me it is a little slimy.. maybe I use too much. Maybe you could give me some hints on how to use it!

I'm not gluten-free, but I like to study these recipes. I make a pie crust that has one whole egg and 1 TBSP vinegar. I wonder if they could help hold your crust together?

I am certainly going to use the egg instead of flour…Thank you so much🌹

Arrow root is a great thickening substitute. I'm allergice to corn by products... so, I use many altneratives.
@grammarosesopenpantry27295 ай бұрын
Yes, I looked that up, but it has about as many carbs as cornstarch..

The carb count for evaporated milk is for a 2 Tbsp serving. You need to multiply that 3g, times the 12 servings in a can making a total of 36g of carbs for a whole can. Do the same calculation for your coconut milk. Multiply the net carbs per serving times the number of servings in the can.
@grammarosesopenpantry27295 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Phyllis…I was totally mistaken about the evaporated milk..I went back and corrected my information in the description box..The coconut milk was fine because it only has less than 1 carb in 1/3 cup..The recipe is still lower carb than if I had used all sugar, but not as low carb as I thought ..I really appreciate you bringing this to my attention..I appreciate my viewers helping me out..and you were so nice the way you corrected me..thank you.

@grammarosesopenpantry2729 you're welcome. Being a type 2 diabetic, I have to watch carb counts, and I have made the same mistake.
