In addition to his views on legal repercussions being imposed for cheating or creating hacks... If you take steroids to get an upper hand in a sport, the police don't get involved. The sport's governing organization handles it, whether it be a suspension, ban, fine, etc. Nobody likes cheaters, but concept of there being legal regulations is misguided.

I encountered a cheater in ranked solo too... I sneaked up on him, the dude had a K98 with ONE bullet left, and as soon as he heard me the crosshair of his 6x snapped at me and headshot me. He was like 20m away max, and he had no aim punch whatsoever. Yay...

Gee Gee I have neglected my pc gaming for the past 4 years. I only really do mobile gaming now. I do have a PS4 and XBOX One, but I don’t use them anymore. I have recorded footage of cheaters to turn in to discord, but nothing gets done. No point in it. Played a squad game the other day had a full team of cheaters shooting everyone through walls. I downed 2 of them and it felt like a win lol

I think the two biggest issues with linking personal information with gaming accounts is that: 1 Streamers/Trolls, will likely see a massive increase in stalkers and in rare instances potentially even killed because their address was easily found on the web. 2 Identity theft will become much more common. Particularly if your personal information is linked to a system like steam where one could in theory pull credit card information from. There are also a few problems with hardware damage to computers as a solution to hacking, such as, its kind of a little excessive to overload someone's computer because their 12 year old kid is bad at COD. (just an example, the point is that people often share computers and its generally considered morally wrong to punish a group of individuals for the acts of one.) But also, in the case that a company is mistaken about cheating (happens all the time), the company has then irreparably and deliberately damaged an innocent individuals computer. A good alternative would be software locking, where the company either locks the game or even potentially locks hardware specs (such as clock speeds on CPU/GPU) to a point where they cant play the game. This could be linked to steam accounts or windows keys or all sorts of different software. but its reversible so ultimately the company is less likely to be held liable if they make a mistake. If hardware is locked by serial number and/or windows key, at least in the short term that individual would be unable to continue cheating in any games yet it would still allow use of computer for productivity tasks. But damaging hardware is the technological equivalent to the death penalty, and the fact that innocent people could potentially be sentenced to death is pretty much the entire reason that executions have mostly stopped. Of course that is a bit of an extreme comparison but the basic principle is the same.

Anticheat melting down the cheaters' CPU gave me an idea : I once saw a vid of a guy who made fake hacks which were actually traps. What those hacks did was, instead of being aimbots and such, they prevented a cooked nade from being thrown, or automatically ejected the cheater from his car when speeding over 80kms/h, stuff like that. It was hilarious to see the wannabe cheaters' reaction, but what if someone made fake hacks which would fry your SSD, or melt down your CPU? That would be evil but sooooo deserved

Yeah Im going to disagree with non-anonymous status for video games. I don't need people to know who I am when I play games - I'm not even a toxic player and have never used cheats other than solo campaigns when I was a kid... It just isn't necessary. I agree cheats need to be dealt with but that is honestly up to the ones hosting the games, which in this case is PUBG. In the good old days you'd have private servers and it would be moderator responsibility to deal with cheats, and as far as I'm concerned nothing in that regard has changed. The developers need to be on top of this if they're going to force us to use their servers, and clearly general 'anti-cheat' software doesn't do the job with all of the client-side programming for this game. I hope when PUBG gets a full 2.0 makeover they recreate the code from the ground up to deal with this kind of stuff! Unfortunately we're dealing with an early access team that started small and didn't get things quite right in the beginning. Hopefully that won't happen a second time!
