Can you explain the need and use of the angle gauge on the boom for the auger some time?
@OkieWindmillerАй бұрын
Yep! So the angle gauge is used for lifting. The lower down the boom is, the less it can lift, and vice versa. There is a chart on the boom that shows permissible weights at varying angles. So you a see the angle, extension amount, and quickly know how much you should lift. Very cool stuff!
@donaldross1077Ай бұрын
I know it is hard to remember everything, but it would make the job go better. A fold up work bench would be nice. A small extension ladder would be nice. Remember your cordless equipment would be nice. A hard hat for you and anyone else under the tower while the winch is in use. Okay I will stop, you doing a good job, be safe.

When the operator set the next piece in the pipe it made it jump up and Katy bar the door it opened the slips enough for 2joints of pipe went to the bottom. I have been asking for a new set of slips for a year. Our boss asked if I wired them off and I said Yelp then he asked if I tapped them Yelp and then he asked if I had my foot on them I said nope. He thought he had me till I asked him if he could pull up osha regulation where it says to put foot on them. I said that how people get their sh parts cut off and if you would just get a new set to put in them that would never happen

Buddy we need some rest!!!!! I’m not sure, it’s a mystery to us. The pump was funny feeling, kinda tight on the way down. I also don’t care for steel rods in 2” pipe. can the crack have been caused from a missalignment between tower an well? for me it looks like the tower isn't in level.
@OkieWindmillerАй бұрын
The tower was pretty good, but yes, alignment can do this for sure!! But, the water quality could have degraded the rods so much that they became so flimsy that on the down stroke, it was able to flex and rub. That’s our guess….😀

Good question. We’re not really worried about anything falling from the tower……..unless someone is working up there, and if that’s the case, the other isn’t supposed to be in the area. I have tried hard hats, but I am constantly looking up and down, and nothing gets to me more than a hard hat continuously falling off. Sure a chin strap would help, but…..I can’t stand them either.
