Hello hello again everybody! After many months of work and procrastination I FINALLY got this project done! I really hope you all find it worth the wait.
Working on this was a fun challenge for me, and took a lot of different sessions to get each frame done (hence why some are sketchy, some aren't, and you can see a slight difference in styles ... it's just because there's over a year of improvement in between💀).
This video is based on a fanfiction called the Friendship Test!

@@yummydragon8533 Maybe it's cpnfusing, but I didn't want the second part of my comment to represent the first. They are separate. And it is a good analogy here: Twilight's kindness and desire to spread friendship backfired teribly. The proverb means just that: that your good intentions can have undesired consequences

@CyberWarezz05 that's not exactly what it means, what it means is that evil actions are taken with initially good intentions, which is a subtle, yet important difference. in the latter you are 100% at blame, while in the former, it's not inherently so, you could be the victim. i am only mentioning this because the belief that all their suffering was twilight's fault for trying to be good is an absurd notion

Speaking only in regards to this video, it's obvious that Starlight didn't really wanted to be their friend, so she either:went with the show and fiction route, meaning that she accepted the friendship and then changed her mind, or she took Twilight for a naive fool and manipulated her, and I honestly think it's the latter in this case

The way it looks like Starlight interprets Twilight's well-meaning words of encouragement as hostility and blame, showing her cowering under Twilight's shadow as Twilight tells her that she's making the choice to be hurtful, is absolutely impeccable

The injury part kinda seems like Starlight was already warning her she's dangerous but Twi unfortunately forgot one lesson that might be more important than any moral friendship can teach: *Sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone*

I love the tiny details!!! At the beginning if you look closely they have a tiny version of their cutie marks in their eyes! But startlight has the equal sign in her eyes! So cool and such a great animation meme!! Also if you pause at 0:11, turn on the brightness to max, and look closely behind the word “Azalis” you can see two eyes and a mouth! Maybe it’s Startlight?
