Hi Helen, you say you’re impatient however it seems like a fib watching you sew, I have so much to say about this vlog - 1st your skin looks fantastic, 2nd red really suits your complexion, all the dresses were lovely all winners, however I got quite emotional when you tried the last dress on - I thought you looked like a grown up princess (a bit over the top) but when will you ever have a perfect occasion to wear this dress again. Great job with the sewing . Definitely the last dress looked fabulous with the shoes very classy . Hope your sister makes a speedy recovery. Plus good news about your other relative. It’s very worrying when family members are in hospital for sure. My dad who’s 94 and like your mum very independent fell out on the patio at 8 in the evening . I happened to be in Italy on the first night of are holiday . I got a phone call from his care line saying he’d pressed the button but wasn’t answering either of his phones. Long story short he’d broken his hip took the ambulance till 3am to get to him my brother had to keep ringing them. Since then he’s had a mild stroke , woke up with the bed full of blood so needed an emergency blood transfusion so thanks to all the blood donors out there. Then he got Covid which he’s passed on to my brother and hubby up to now I’m fine . So the last 4 weeks have been horrendous we cut are holiday short have to say Jet 2 were fantastic at getting us home. So dad is in his 3rd hospital as he’d behind in his physio for his hip. At 94 it’s hard to bounce back but he’s getting there slowly. Xx

Ok, hard choice. The taupe is definitely a statement piece, lovely, and I guess, for me, it would depend on how fancy the wedding is for venue, etc. I am always always drawn to the classics and the black and white was that, but with a modern twist, I loved it. Bottom line would be the venue, day or night wedding, etc to choose, lol. And that ghost dress is a much better color and fit than the previous in my opinion. I also so enjoyed that FINALLY, someone finds a bargain dress, that just needs a minor ‘tweak’ to make it perfect for themselves, and pulls out the sewing machine! My favorite part of the video!

Ok regarding what to wear to the wedding. Well you want to be understated when attending someone else's wedding. It is the BRIDES day And no one should try and outshine the bride. The taupe dress reminds me of a Mother of the brides dress and no one should try and out dress her either. Therefore I am choosing the black and white dress. It's lovely and quite appropriate for the wedding. You will look amazing but at the same time elegantly showing good taste. I don't know what the others out there is space will think but for so eone else's wedding let them shine.

Hello. Helen! I know how special your family is and I thought I would share my roots with you! I am seeing pics on Facebook of official buildings lit up Sept 28th in red, white and blue in the UK and across Canadá in recongnition of the 100,000 Barnado children that came from the UK. My grandmother arrived in Ontario Canadá by ship in 1912. She was 13y/o. I do have her BHC records and her older brothers as well. Also, I have connected with her brothers family using "23 and Me". We hope to meet this fall! ❤ Proud of my British Home Child heritage! 😊

wow you are good with that double camera filming,,,, and nice work on that cuff,,,, looks better shorter,,,, and love the blue print and the pink one too,,, but does it have elastic sleeve? the tan one seems more dressy than the black and white,,,, both fit you wonderfully,,,,, the tan might need a belt maybe,,,, but honestly it depends how formal the wedding is. 👰

The sleeves you changed on the first dress elevate it so much. It looks great. The blue dress alterations look great too! The pink flowered dress looks terrific (this color is better as well). I love the black and white dress and it is classic so it works well and looks very nice on you. The last dress is very pretty and unusual in style but very elegant and also classic. It looks wonderful with the shoes (which are beautiful). The only thing might be it's such a light color and it's a wedding. I know there are rules about that. Maybe it doesn't look like ivory in person. I'm sure your daughters will give you great advice. Sorry for the ramble!

The last dress was very wow! I loved the swishy detail at the back. The pink dress was also lovely. I didn’t like the black and white dress. It didn’t hang well and the knot at the front drew your eye which isn’t what I would want 😂. The work you did on the two dresses was well worth all the effort.

The ghost dress is really lovely and nicer than the orange. The length is perfect. Black and white coast dress is nice but very formal if you know what I mean..last one pretty but for me too much and great you can get them On but.. in my humble opinion dated. Where the coast dress!!!! You look stunning xxx
