Snorri Arnason pilots his LS powered Formula Offroad Iceland Car aka Choir Boy up the Hills at Bikini Bottoms Off road Park in Dyersburg, Tennessee during the first ever Formula Offroad USA Race. He was the only one to succesfully make hill 4 giving him the overall win for the first ever race in America.

I would like to say Thank you for Documenting such a Kick Ass Event! Glad to see it is finally here in the USA! These boy can Bring the Heat to Hill Climbing! Thank you truly! Please get some interviews with the racers to see what there feed back is on state side racing. Next year I am taking time off to go in person and see the event.

Icelanders are known for speaking very good English... If they have too much accent then ask someone to translate... very easy!!

BustedKnuckleVideo They do but are shy of using it... most of them understand what you are saying but are embarrass to speak... and this goes especially for men... so what you need to do is ask some of the girls that tag along with them to be your translater... they will do it in a heartbeat... if they can do it over here (Iceland) they will do it over there...

We have done these sunday driving tours ;-) for years in Iceland and I don´t remember aynone getting seriously hurt. But then we are geneticly a little nuts when it comes to taking something on....:-) Greetings from Iceland.

These guys take some tough rolls but usually sand on soft piles of dirt or gravel. Not solid dirt

Great video. Aside from obvious driving skill, I'll guess two aids to Amason's victory. 1) The engine sounds naturally aspirated. Apparently, superior throttle response is more valuable than more HP from turbos. 2) Amason repeatedly staggers the throttle more than competitors but each is so brief as to maintain forward motion. Perhaps briefly backing off the throttle lets the tire 'settle' into the dirt and get more bite than continuously spinning the tires?

Been to a few races in Sweden and Norway. Really nice that the sport is catching on in the US. That might give some new blood and harder competition. The top Scandinavian drives need a challenge. :-D Funny thing is when you see it in reality it's hard to understand how some people can drive up hills that you cant climb on foot!
