Wouldn't it be easier if you remove the fuel line to the carb so you can turn it to the right for more accessibility? Good video.

Would definitely give more accessibility, though the current clamp on it is crimped on and I don't have the tool to crimp on a new one. A standard hose clamp would probably be fine, but I decided to just leave it be. If you do decide to remove it, I would turn the fuel off and run it until it runs out of fuel to minimize spillage, especially with the exhaust right underneath.

@@ramblinchris400 Fortunately, I do have the Oetiker tool for crimping plus replacement bands. I always close the petcock and let the carb run empty after each ride, which is what the owner's manual says to do because the rubber vacuum diaphragm in the carb can fail and allow gas to get into the engine oil.
