I would never have thought to combine two roughed-out bowls to make one hollow form bowl. The addition of the resin discs was brilliant. You are truly God-gifted.

A beautiful work of art. With the inside painted and finished glossy, it looks like the inside flows to the flower petal rim. On video at least, it looks like the rim and the inside are one piece. Anyone not seeing the video may wonder how you did that. It turned out amazing.

I admire your ability--and willingness--to change directions mid course. I think odd numbers are often more pleasing, so adding the rim piece after adding the base was perfect. Also, painting the inside brought it all together. It's a beautiful piece to donate to a wonderful cause. God bless.

It's stunning. I've got 2 bowls the same way that I thought of doing the same. I think I will try now. It's 2 different maples so breaking it up in the middle makes sense. I love the idea of painting the inside as well. All great ideas.

I have worked in so many mediums, never with a lathe though. I think that the method of allowing the piece to grow organically, without a plan, helps its soul to enter it through my hands. I love working in very natural materials, many are found objects. I can hear Kim say what I think allows the piece to have a life of its own. Pretty amazing to watch something so tangible come to life. Thanks!
