Chokecherry Wine + Liqueur + Pemmican Patties + Limeade

I still have plenty of chokecherry jelly from last year, so this year I made chokecherry wine, chokecherry liqueur using vodka, dried chokecherry patties to make pemmican later, and a super refreshing fizzy chokecherry limeade!

For the future... i recommend collect a full mature fruits. After that not boiling a juice and not ferment a fruit peels. Only extract a juice and ferment the must. I made a chokecherry wine year ago.

Oh my goodness I need to actually pick myself some choke cherries this coming season! My mom has a lot of them on her property is whitewood. I see a lot in the canyons around here too. Do you use buffalo berries for anything??

Oooh, yes you should! Chokecherries are so delicious for many things! I haven't put a sheet down under buffaloberry bushes to collect those little berries to make my favorite jelly in a looooong time! I didn't have any silver buffaloberries up in the hills, just inedible russets, so I'd have to locate some out on the prairie again. What's your favorite thing to make with them?
