Cholitas, fighting women and the Witches Market: The beautiful Traditions of Bolivia 🇧🇴

Bolivia has a high percentage of indigenous people and therefore lots of old and beautiful traditions are being lived until today. I was curious and wanted to learn more about these Bolivian Traditions which is why I went to the so called witches market in La Paz and talked to Cholitas - the proud indigenous women of Bolivia.
At the Witches Market in La Paz you can find all kinds of things that are being used for rituals but also medicine or love potions.
In El Alto I met with the famous Wrestling Cholitas. Powerful women that left an impression on me.

Es la primera vez que veo este tipo de lucha con la participación de las Cholitas. Solo conocía las luchas libres de México y Los Estados Unidos. Muy interesante, gracias. 😀

I knew about the cholitas wrestling, I have seen some videos and they are super funny with the shows they do😂 but although it seems fun, it requires significant physical preparation to do everything they do and the way they act everything seems scripted, but I didn't know the story of how it had originated, it's interesting to know the role that they represent as cholitas in society of being admired, respected by everyone and the courage they transmit that they are part of society without any fear, very interesting video 😉👍

It must be a really difficult sport and lots of training to do this! Especially dressed up like the Cholitas. I’m sure this makes it even more difficult. But I loved seeing this. The girls are doing amazing!

Yes, that's true it's totally amazing even dressed up like the cholitas could be more difficult for them to make this kind of shows, they even do it excellent at the same time very fun, very admirable

I was hoping they would put you in some wrestling holds and you can find out if it's painful or not😅 If you ever go to Mexico you should definitely meet a couple of the luchadoras there. They won't mess about haha.
