The origin Is unofficial because we know the true origin but it’s still pretty good and a nice concept The official origin: A group of miners were mining under the island and they saw a giant spider like creature. They expected this so they shot at it. So the spider like creature crawled into one of the mining trains as protection. The miners blew up the cave and buried him. A few years later the train creature came out and killed several the locals nicknamed it Charles
