The first generation. All of these chippies are unique and special. What a cool channel this is. I remember when Chucky was afraid of Tom at the woodpile then before you know it Chucky has a house inside. Memories we will always have.

The thought has crossed my mind several times over the years, that living in a forest, on a lake, many would have a dog or two or both, but if you did, you may not have so many wildlife friends. They may have never come near. You may have never met Chucky. I have had many dogs, cats, bunnies, even ferrets and the wildlife still came near-especially raccoons and possums. Everywhere I have lived they have come to visit me. They make themselves at home. I feed all of them so that they don't eat each other-or fight. Sp all was good. But, chipmunks must be very careful. They freeze, get scared and worried and maybe move away. So I respect so much that you take care of your little friends and it appears they are growing in numbers. They all know where to go...to Choo Choo and Tom's House. Stay warm up there! Take care. Thank you for sharing.

I have a crow that seems to have become attached somewhat to me and my roasted peanuts in the shell. He is out there every morning in the tree across the street cawing to me. When I come out with peanuts he flies down to the driveway in front of me. He still won't let me closer than a couple meters so I just wait for the day he comes to me. We'll see. You are my inspiration and we have no chipmunks.

Bobby needed to get more seeds because she lives far away. I miss her mom, Bunny and both of them reminded me of Darly, one of my favorites, who also lived far away because of their courage making those long trips that would mean encountering more predators. I do miss my favorites from the old generation--Chucky, Wally, Joony, and Darly. I don't know if Manchu will be around next year since he is the last from that generation.

These chipmunks are just as athletic as the ones in the wild I feed. They're definitely not shy. Some climb my trouser leg and some chickadees fly into my hand. The lure of free food has an effect on them.
