Wow do people not follow this process when vetting. Most of the time all these questions are bogus( the ones the brother mentioned about people saying i did this or asked this but I'm here, why did this happen to me etc) because alot of time we rely on our nafs to make decision on marriage partner which shows your going down a slippery slope.. To busy looking for that perfect partner rather then what I have to offer to be a good spouse and what marriage is really about. I feel for the younger generation but please take some onus on your approach this brother here is spitting facts ... very well explained .. Happy to see such help for those that need it mashallah :)

I appreciate your advice because it’s sincere and ideal but to find an unmarried man who goes to fajr prayer and isha prayer in the west is nearly impossible - it’s sad but true.

What about for people who don't live in Muslim communities? Not everyone has a Muslim circle that can vouch for them, so are those people ineligible for marriage because of their life circumstances?

@@alghurraba Insha'Allah. I'll most likely end up finding a wife back home with the help of my family and parents, as much as I would prefer a woman who I can share cultural similarities to it's probably not going to happen since I have vowed not to use apps or the like.

What should we do if the family doesn’t really conform to what the deen told us. In my country, the society has normalized boyfriend and girlfriend so much and aunties would ask and tell me and most girls to find a boyfriend and introduce him to them but that’s it. Afterwards, it’s all in their children’s hands 😞. I tried to do it the Islamic way, asking lots of difficult marriage questions but now my family thinks that it doesn’t make me know him deep enough because we’re not boyfriend and girlfriend (?)

@@ghafranhaque7161 not always....common law relationships are the same as dating in all practical terms (ma malekat aymanakum)...you have her as a partner but without the marriage contract and you can have loads of kids and even a family...signing the marriage contract means your woman has rights to take your money now...and she is still not guaranteed to give you kids...no man wants to sign a marriage contract when he can just get a partner and most women aren't hungry for dowry or inheritance
