Well, Kite is free. But, many of it's useful features are subscription only, and that subscription is expensive.

Kite takes too much ram on windows. If you try to reduce it, I might use it again. It just takes too much system resources.

In VBA, you just have the auto-completion 😃 You don't need to install something. You can also select from the possible values of an argument: you just type , , , , coming to the next argument.

It's not syntax that it helps you remember, sorry to be an old curmudgeon but i hate when that word is misused. If you can't remember the syntax of the language you are using you are in real trouble. What it helps you remember is nomenclature and definitions. Those are *not* syntax. Syntax is what the parser deals with, it doesn't care what things are called, or how many arguments there are to a given function. You care about that, and that is what autocomplete helps you with.

Autocomplete is a complete mistake for a new language learner. It makes the learners never truly memorize language keywords and never try to respect the syntax. Only after a programmer has a good command of the language the autocomplete becomes useful
