Hi, I think the decking timber mention at 0:52 is not 40mm thick because the next one is 35mm thick and the joist can be max 600mm.

What options are there to put on ramp decking if the smooth side is up to prevent slipping or give better traction?

4 by 2 as soon width by height or height by width

it's not grip tread, it's reeding, it goes face down so water can't sit between the decking board and the joists.
