What about faux leather it stretches but rather thinner like 0.7mm-0.9mm and another faux leather 1.45mm with a little stretch

For thinner faux leathers I recommend adding interfacing to make it more sturdy. A little more stretch helps with lasting, but if the leather isn't being used in a place where it needs to stretch a lot (such as a strap) the stretch isn't as important ⭐️

Thank you very much! That was i really needed! Since I'm learning shoemaking all on my own, i appreciate and swallow these useful tips! Just if i may ask another question than the points on the video: which part of a hide is better or suitable for shoe? Or there is no difference?

Oh, I could have used this info a few years ago! I’m getting more of a feel for it now. Where did you get that gorgeous snakeskin? I bought “Jaguar Print Goatskin” from “Buy Leather Online” (since we left the EU it’s a bit of a faff and a minimum order value). It’s OK but when stretched the print pulls out like your showed on the pink leather. I’m in the north of Scotland so have to buy online unless I’m visiting London.

Tried making a pair of boots out of bulk storage container material when I was a kid because I didn't have any money for boots. It almost worked using fishing line to sew them with didn't work out though.

Did you forage the mintel class system from the same container? Todays self acclaimed middle class have such good manners, not a stiletto in sight, mind, you might feel like hitting them over the head with one. I’d never of known what the analogy about popping gum was about whilst watching Chicago. Personally I thought the grit wasn’t as abrasive as the mentality. But getting to pose as Lurch from the munsters with ‘you rang?’ Must have only given me hospital receptionist status; apparently pranging on the banana phone then playing knock down ginger, is todays method of acquiring girls, but I think they thought they were calling Heidi Fleiss for an array of services on speed dial. Either that or these people were trying to get an invite to the race course to mix with gypsies and the upper classes simultaneously; Herbert’s never been so popular it would seem 🤔

I mean, employing Richard Bandler for the white house NLP net doesn’t seem particularly conservative, but then according to self-written profiles on Wikipedia, he’s also a hypnosis Guinea pig; but then it isn’t surprising that the Irish could find something more modern than the potato famine to sue for…but does it equal reparations for an atomic bomb? I believe the populace of Chernobyl post leak were paid less? But again I could quite wrong.

Speaking of programming, love how my phone starts burning like it’s on fire when I start some materials knowledge research…making bespoke lasts obviously leads to reseach on thermoplastics and mouldings, which links to prosthetic limb casting, which leads to neuroscience and the possibility of that chip that’s been implanted into a humans head to control the central nervous system with a remote control, might actually render a phantom prosthetic leg possible to control through neural Command some day. On the other hand these inquisitive experimental explorations do sound like the creation of robotic humans as a slave/electronically enslaved workforce much like myself being synchronised with a computer everywhere I go, like I eat sleep and urinate on programmed command… so what is ‘human value’ and the concept of ‘home’? Maybe you’ll pull out the divine comedy Herbert, or the concise pocket paperback of Dante’s 9 rings if inferno if it’s more your kind of thing; doesn’t sound too dissimilar to the electronic gadgetry cost of that old Olympic torch route that was televised explaining the metaphorical bot network it represented…not a Billie holiday Strange fruit song in earshot though…very modern & far too intellectually advanced for my paltry purse limits. Thought I could use all these topics for something to talk about though, because life’s lacking a little stimulus and activity this past few decades, and since you not only documented but planned the conception of my birth as being ‘the last & third child’ in ‘56 when my mother was not one year herself, (although technically I’m the fourth), one would naturally wonder why? and since all people appear to have all knowing answers greater than Tolkien and the Brave New World of Aldous Huxley, I’d presume if I give accurate information, I will receive accurate information in return? Is this a concept far from Machiavellism and the values of modern social norms? But my old friends evade me these days, so I have to start conversation somewhere because it’s a human need on the hierachy of needs chart, a requirement of mental sustenance that stops people going insane to the point of looking like the inmates of House On Haunted Hill, after the first version featuring Vincent Pryce and the haunted lamp from the amytiville horror (or was that evil Edna and the haunted Tv from Will O’ the Wisp, I can’t quite remember Herbert). But if nothing else, I told the truth and some people still laughed, even if it was tarred as domination, lunacy & tiresome moaning.
