Awesome! Coach, I am a kicker, I use the side of my foot. Everyone else says using your toe is better but I think soccer style is better. If you could, email me to my KZbin Inbox for answers. Thanks!

excellent video! i am a freshman and kicking off the ground (not by choice but because i dont have a block) i just got mine in the mail today and havent used it. i was wondering if it will help my kicks because off the ground they are more line drive kicks. will the block give me more loft if i use it correctly?

I used to kick for fun when I was younger (just a hobby, never for a team). And I just got back into it (and I'm 22 Lol) and can't really kick that far (check out my field goal video for proof). I just ordered the 4 in 1 tee. Should I start out with the two inch tees and work my down?

How can I know that I'm ready to kick off the ground?
@DC.9 жыл бұрын
Coach Brent, I am a junior who kicks at a high school where my special teams coach demands that I use a 2inch block for both field goals and kickoffs and I am very comfortable and consistent using it. I also plan on using it during my senior year because of my coach, so would I have a chance if say a college is interested and they find out that I have been using a 2inch block as a senior?

hey coach, i got a quick question (ive bought the book and was concerned about a few things on my form) 1. ur book said to keep the plant foot straight on with the target and i always find my plant foot crooked like this / towards the block 2. should the ball or toes (which one?) of my plant foot be right next to the line of the block on the block
@kickingworld13 жыл бұрын
@Haole37 It could very well help you. It could be your form or your block or both. It's hard to say without seeing you kick. But based on what you said, it sounds like it can help you. Good Luck!

are the orange kick off tee any good
@kickingworld13 жыл бұрын
@runningriot505 Hi, it is hard for me to provide you any specific advice w/ out seeing you kick at a lesson, camp or through a virtual private lesson. Sometimes people 'graduate' to the lower tee after perfecting their kick if the ball starts going a bit higher than normal or spinning too much. Sometimes it is 'time for change' and this may help (may be the case for you). Most times, it is not the tee, but rather incorrect form that causes over spin, too high, line drive or too low.

It's ok to have plant foot slightly in. That's no issue. But you don't want your plant foot to be turned in dramatically. A little in or a little out is fine. On kickoffs, most guys are more in than parallel.

Is the wizard kick holder better than the Wilson pro kick i have been using the Wilson pro kick
@kickingworld11 жыл бұрын
Jake, the Wizard EZ Ball Holder is 200x better than the Wilson ball holder for these reasons: 1. The Wilson holder's arm is not long enough, therefore the ball is so close to the holder, and sometimes if your foot is big enough, you almost hit the ball AND holder. 2. The arm is not sturdy, and with any mild wind, the ball falls over. Also, the arm breaks off all the time. You can purchase kicking products on our website at KickingWorld.com and WizardKicking.com

Im having a problem Im 14 and I have been kicking off of a 2 inch block for kickoff and field goals all my life. Now, for the past week or 2, I have been using a 1 inch because my plant foot has been moving up all the time on the 2 inch tee. I have been doing as good as me kicking off a 2 inch so far with the 1 inch tee's. Since my foot has automatically been planting around where I should be for a 1 inch tee for the past 2 weeks, should I stay at a 1 inch or should I try to adjust myself back to a 2 inch?
@kickingworld8 жыл бұрын
If you see no loss of height and distance on the 1", then you should just stick with the 1"; no reason to revert back to the 2". I would however advice NOT forcing yourself into a 1" if you aren't ready (ball flight too low, inconsistent, etc). Good luck and hope to see you at camp soon! -Coach Brent

What quantifies a college level leg?
@stephenbanks95437 жыл бұрын
Blue Clash My guess would be consistently making at 45 yards and further
@kickingworld7 жыл бұрын
We go into detail about this in our kicking DVD, but in general, going from a HS senior to a freshman in college, you would want to be able to hit 40 yards and in with ease 9/10 times with plenty of distance, and a good trajectory that doesn't get blocked. Be able to hit your PATs center, with quick lift, and not shooting all over the place. And have the leg strength to make a 53+ yard FG. And on kickoffs - which typically separates decent HS kickers, from collegiate-level kickers, being able to kick 60+ yards consistently, but even better 65+ yards and most importantly, 3.7+ seconds of hang-time (for the lowest level). For Division 1, you would need to be hitting more like 68+ yard kickoffs with an even harder to do 3.9+ (4.0 or greater = even better) seconds hang-time.
